A separate service
Repair Terms
Membership never obliges you to buy a repair. These terms explain what happens if you accept a separate quote.
Effective 27 August 2026
A new agreement for repair work
An appliance repair is separate from the annual maintenance membership and is contracted with the individual sole trader operating as Kim Kitch Care. We may arrange for an appropriately skilled independent subcontractor to perform the work, while Kim Kitch Care remains responsible for the repair agreement. Diagnosis or receipt of a quote creates no obligation to purchase.
What the quote tells you
Before chargeable work begins, the written quote describes the identified issue, proposed repair, required parts, labour, total consumer price and applicable VAT treatment, expected timing, payment terms and any genuine guarantee applying to workmanship or parts.
Your approval controls the work
We begin only when you expressly accept the quote. If the engineer later discovers that different work or additional cost is necessary, work pauses while we explain the change and obtain further approval.
Reasonable care and skill
Repair services must be performed with reasonable care and skill, within the agreed time or a reasonable time and for the agreed price or, where no price has been fixed, a reasonable price. Nothing on this page reduces statutory consumer rights.
Parts, access and safety
A repair depends on suitable parts being available from suppliers. Customer-supplied parts are not installed unless we expressly agree in writing. You must provide safe access to the appliance and arrange for an adult to be present.
If the appliance is unsafe or repair would not be economically sensible, work stops while we explain the available choices. The maintenance membership does not generate a replacement appliance or cash benefit.
Cancellation information
The cancellation rights for a repair depend on how and where the separate contract is made and whether you expressly ask for work to begin during an applicable cooling-off period. The final quote and repair terms supplied before acceptance explain the rights relevant to that transaction.
Problems with a repair
Use our contact form to report a concern and include the repair reference. Complaints are handled under the published Complaints Procedure.
